By connecting your Zoom account to Undock, you can seamlessly add a unique Zoom conference link to each of your meetings scheduled with Undock.

Connecting Your Zoom Account

There are two ways to connect your Zoom account to Undock.

Installing from the Zoom App Marketplace

For those who do not yet have an Undock account, the Undock Zoom integration can be installed directly from the Zoom App Marketplace. This method also works for existing Undock users.

  1. Search for Undock in the Zoom App Marketplace or click here.

  2. Click the "Visit Site to Install" button

  3. If you have not yet signed up with Undock, or if you are an Undock user and are logged out, you will be taken to the Undock login/signup page

Follow the on-screen instructions to either sign up for a free Undock account using your Google, G-Suite, Microsoft (Outlook, Office365) or email account or, if you are an Undock user, log into your existing account.

  4. On the next screen, click "Connect Zoom" to authorize your Zoom account with Undock

On the Zoom authorization page, click "Authorize" to grant permission for Undock to create Zoom conferences on behalf of you to be added to meetings scheduled with Undock (see below for more options).

Note: No personal or private information is collected from any Zoom account by Undock. All data necessary for the Undock Zoom integration to function (email address, authentication tokens) are securely stored and cannot be read by anyone at Undock. This data is completely deleted when the Undock Zoom integration is uninstalled (see below).

  5. Upon a successful connection, you will be redirected back to the Undock integrations dashboard where you will see Zoom as one of your connected integrations.

Connecting to Zoom from Undock App

Another option for existing Undock users is to connect your Zoom account straight from your Undock preferences page.

  1. Log in to your Undock account

  2. On the bottom left of the sidebar, click your profile image to open the profile menu and select "Account settings"

  3. On the settings list, go to "Preferences"

  4. On the preferences page, scroll to the bottom to find the "Remote preferences" section

  5. Click the option for "Zoom Conferencing", then click "Connect Zoom"

  6. Follow the steps on the Zoom authorization screens to authorize Zoom with Undock (see step 4 in the above section for more details). After being redirected back to Undock, your Zoom connection will be ready to go.

Using Zoom with Undock

Once you've connected your Zoom account to Undock, it's easy to set up Undock to create a Zoom conference for each meeting you schedule.

Enable Zoom conferencing by going to your Account settings by clicking your profile picture on the bottom left of the page and then clicking "Account settings"

On the next screen, click "Preferences" in the settings list

At the bottom of the Preferences page, you should see something similar to this:

Note the "Connected" status under the "Zoom Conferencing" option.

Make sure you have "Zoom Conferencing" selected under "Remote preferences". This setting determines which type of conferencing (or custom conferencing link) is added to each meeting created.

And that's it! Now you can enjoy automatic Zoom conferencing with each Undock meeting. The link to each Zoom conference will be included in the location field and description of the meetings on your calendar and all participants will be able to launch the Zoom conference right from their Undock timeline.

Uninstalling Zoom from Undock

If you do not wish for further meetings to have Zoom conferencing, you can simply switch the "Remote preferences" setting to another provider in the "Preferences" page:

However, doing only this will leave the underlying connection to Zoom intact so you can easily switch the option back to Zoom without re-authenticating.

If you'd like to completely disconnect Zoom from Undock permanently and remove all data related to your Zoom account, simply connect the "Disconnect" button next to the Zoom logo and your Zoom account name:

After this, Zoom will be complete disconnected and removed from Undock.

Alternatively you can follow these steps to Uninstall the Zoom integration for Undock from the Zoom App Marketplace:

  1. Login to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.

  2. Click Manage > Installed Apps or search for the Undock app.

  3. Click the Undock app.

  4. Click Uninstall.
